The electronic transfer system Zelle, widely used in the United States to send money from account to account, specified on its official website the conditions that must be met for transactions to be carried out without inconvenience.

Those who need to make this type of transaction in the coming days or during June will have to consider that, if money is sent to an unregistered account and prompt action is not taken, the transaction will be canceled.

Zelle will cancel, one by one, all bank transfers of those who carry out their transactions this way

When making a Zelle transfer, the recipient’s email address or phone number will be automatically requested.

If money is transferred to a person who is not yet registered, the recipient will be officially notified and given instructions to complete the registration process.

If this process is not completed within 14 days, the transaction will be canceled and the money will be returned to the original account.

In these circumstances, the person who sent the money may choose to cancel it before the full deadline is reached

If the process is successfully completed, the transfer will be automatically credited to the account.

How to activate a Zelle account to receive money: step by step

To activate a Zelle account it will be necessary to

  1. Click on the link that was sent in the payment notification (this may be received by text message or email)
  2. Select the bank or credit union you want to link
  3. Follow the instructions provided by the page
  4. Use the email address or phone number to which the payment was sent

If the transfer was canceled because the user did not create the account in a timely manner, the easiest way to recover the money from the uncompleted transaction is to request that the transaction be made again.
