In the heart of northern Mexico, construction is underway on Torre Rise, an ambitious project that will transform Monterrey into the host of the tallest building in Latin America and one of the most significant in the global context of skyscrapers.

The projected total height of this structure is 484 meters, which will not only allow it to dominate the Mexican skyline, but also position it as the second tallest in the American continent, surpassed only by One World Trade Center in New York.

Construction begins on the tallest and most advanced skyscraper in Latin America

The new skyscraper will leave behind Torre Obispado, also located in Monterrey, widening the gap between the two structures by more than 170 meters and consolidating the city as a vertical development hub without precedent in the region.

According to the developers, Torre Rise will have 96 habitable levels, crowned by an architectural spire that will bring its final height to 484 meters. This figure far exceeds any other existing building in Latin America.

The vision driving the megaproject

The project was designed as a mixed-use complex, with the goal of bringing together work, housing, tourism, and entertainment in a single location. The tower will feature:

A sustainable skyscraper with cutting-edge design

The project already has international sustainability certifications, including LEED Silver, Green Globes, Building EQ, and Well, positioning it as one of the region’s most advanced skyscrapers in terms of efficiency and well-being.

Beyond its height, Torre Rise in Monterrey aims to stand out for its environmental approach. The building will incorporate more than 4,000 square meters of green areas, a glass facade with thermal control, and curved corners designed to minimize wind impact.

Privileged location in one of the most iconic areas

The tower rises in the Obispado neighborhood, one of Monterrey’s most emblematic and highest areas. Its location, adjacent to Cerro del Obispado and facing the Santa Catarina River, will give it the ability to become a new visual symbol of the city, as well as an urban landmark of international relevance.

Torre Rise: opening date and public inauguration

The project began in 2023 and, according to the established schedule, the opening is expected for 2026. This development is taking place in a decisive context for the city, which is in full preparation to host international events such as the FIFA World Cup.
